The Drake Hotel
1150 Queen W. 416-531-5042.

Whether you require a little social lubrication or just want to unwind after an unholy day at work, The Drake is there to tend to your needs. With a plethora of cocktails to choose from, it’s no wonder The Drake has once again triumphed in our Reader’s Choice poll. Their cocktail list — developed with the help of Dushan Zaric and Jason Kosmas, owners/bartenders of Employees Only in NYC — recreates and redefines classic cocktails, giving them a modern twist you won’t soon forget. If you’re not sure where to start, try a crowd favourite like El Diablo (José Cuervo Gold tequila, crème de cassis, ginger beer and lime juice) or a Mata Hari (fresh pomegranate juice, Remy Grand Cru VS cognac, chai tea, Italian vermouth, lemon juice and simple syrup). But, please, don’t get too carried away and remember to consume these god-sent glasses of juice responsibly.
