Editorial Rating:

Flat-out brilliant and uproariously inane, Montreal’s Uncalled For improv troupe deliver a highly polished, side-splitting comedic gem with a pinch of absurdist irreverence, a good dose of camp and a whole boatload of funny all rolled into one. The entire cast deliver one grand standout performance, seamlessly transitioning through a series of loosely connected sketches without missing a beat. Starting with a farcical send-up of CSI-style crime stories, all the way through to an Elton John– and Lars Ulrich–peppered dance finale extravaganza, the hilarity doesn’t stop. If this doesn’t make you laugh, you need to see a proctologist — pronto.

Well, what do you know?
It's all a bit of a relief to discover that you can sit through an hour of very zany energy and not be innudated with scatalogical or obscene material that makes you cringe. You could take your granny to this and still have a good time which is pretty rare occurance these days. Bring'em back!

I agree that the venue sucks. I'm fairly tall and even then, it was pretty hard to anything on stage from a few rows back. As far as the actual show goes, I give the performers credit for their polish and professionalism, but after the brilliance that was "Real Time" a few Fringe seasons ago, I was expecting more than this rather disjointed series of sometimes funny, sometimes not sketches.

Great Show, BAD Venue
Go and see this fun, funny, lively show. As others have commented, the space leaves sight lines to be desired. The front three rows, the isle seats and the raised area at the back are the best places to race for. BUT race, as it is a fun show.

I agree about the venue comment. Hard to see further back. Luckily I was able to find a single seat further up. Really enjoyed this show.

Super Great!
great transitions. solid sketches. amazing dance number at the end. finally! a show that is for the audience and not just self indulgent garbage. Go see it! The seating in the venue isn't can be rough for short people but… down periscope!
