Remember that really sad scene in The Wrestler when Mickey Rourke is locked out of his trailer and is popping pain pills in the back of his van? Swollen Members’ Armed To The Teeth is like that, only you don’t feel bad for them. With Mad Child having supposedly survived Scarface-like levels of drug addiction, he and Prevail have returned with discount-rack beats and paper-thin lyrics that are so wack, they’re the sonic equivalent of an “Adadas” track-suit sold in a Kensington Market stall. And that’s before they break out the Auto-Tune, though the rhymes in “Flyest” make Shaq sound like Rakim. Or, to put it another way… hey Soulja Boy! C’mere, we found someone for you to battle!
