The King Is Dead

If celebrity deaths come in threes, then — following this week's passings of Ed McMahon and Farrah Fawcett — somebody up there was saving the biggest for last.

Of course, as of the time of this writing (6:24pm EST), neither CNN, the New York Times nor The Guardian had confirmed Michael Jackson's death, only reporting that we was admitted to hospital in cardiac arrest. But all it takes is a single report from TMZ.com to turn your Twitter feed into a rolling obituary.



UPDATE: The L.A. Times has confirmed that the rumors are true. Michael Jackson has had enough.
