Since the release of their debut album, Outskirts, in March 1987, Blue Rodeo has established themselves as one of the premiere bands in Canadian music history. Over the course of their stellar career Blue Rodeo has released 12 studio albums, two live albums, a greatest hits collection and an award-winning DVD, selling in excess of four million copies around the world. They emerged in the mid 80’s as a countrified rock band in the era of hair metal and glossy pop. Ian McCulloch formed Echo and the Bunnymen in 1978 with guitarist, and fellow Iggy, and Bowie fan, Will Sergeant. 30 years later, in September of 2008, the Bunnymen achieved the ultimate musical triumph when they were invited to perform their 1985 orchestral-rock masterpiece, Ocean Rain, at Royal Albert Hall. The gig was reviewed as being “euphoric” and “transcendental.” That the Bunnymen are these days known as “legends” whose extraordinary musical legacy has inspired the elite in modern alternative music is in little doubt. Which brings us to The Fountain. It was started in 2007 when McCulloch and Sergeant started working with several London-based musicians that resulted in “Think I Need It Too” and “Forgotten Fields.” These songs were the basis of the album that they would spend the next year working on. In Mac’s words The Fountain is “… the best thing we’ve done since Ocean Rain.”

Saskatoon rockers Wide Mouth Mason, have built a reputation as being a must-see live act. Live! Montreux, Switzerland is the band’s first live DVD/CD, and it offers fans the opportunity to take home a piece of their legendary live show. The package features their 1997 and 1999 performances at the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland and includes the hits “Midnight Rain”, “This Mourning” and “Why.” WMM’s introduction to Montreux (1997) was lauded and praised by the likes of Van Morrison and Festival founder/head Claude Nobs (“Who called the band “the find of the festival”) that led to their return in 1999. Another highlight on the album is a cover of Jimi Hendrix’s “Castles Made Of Sand.”

SWITCHFOOT

Switchfoot is an alternative rock band from San Diego, CA. The band works up "the Switchfoot sound"- a melodic crunch of densely layered sound featuring some electronic experimentation, and often driven by hard-charging guitar riffs, while throwing in a few softer ballads as well. Switchfoot first gained mainstream recognition after the inclusion of four of their songs in the 2002 movie A Walk to Remember. This recognition led to their major label debut, The Beautiful Letdown, which went on to sell over 2.6 million copies and produced the band's best-known singles, "Meant to Live" and "Dare You to Move". The band has completed their seventh studio album, Hello Hurricane featuring the single “Mess Of Me”. A deluxe edition with the DVD includes a "Making Of" documentary, in the studio footage and photo shoot footage.
