1. This morning I followed some Twitter thing to the promised land: a remix of the crazy Brendan Fraser handclap and “Hollaback Girl” (golden, as I suspected) and then realized I'd landed on Paul Scheer's website! I am less into him than my comedy boyfriends Aziz/Nick/Zach but the bio on his site says “Currently I'm planning on robbing banks with surfers who dress like ex-Presidents” so I guess I'm reconsidering. Speaking of which: did you know that there's a Point Break play on in San Francisco where someone from the audience has to play Keanu? Whoah, anyway, watch the vid, it's funny.

2. Public service time, kittens! Here is the New York Times on the Facebook settings you should check now (their headline is as ominous as the ones from those rape emails my mom forwards me).

3. The London Review of Books has a $50 million-ish debt that it doesn't plan to pay back. Just the cost of doing business when you're putting out the most spectacular books publication in the world, subsidize the cover cost, pay your contributors well, and are a total Juggalo about taking the editor's family money.

4. Tell it, Bitch magazine: “All things considered, the idea that race factors into how differently [Chris] Brown and [Charlie] Sheen are being portrayed tugs at me. I can’t help but to agree with the commenter who pointed out that whites are allowed to redeem themselves while blacks are not.”
