1. What do you get when you combine the soul-rattling voice of Andre “The Black Godfather” Williams with twangy Toronto four-piece The Sadies? A sexy country-rock rodeo, that’s what. This supergroup, who recorded Red Dirt together back in 1999, will be sharing the stage again for only a brief three-day tour; this is one not to miss. With Bloodshot Bill, Catl. $15 from Ticketmaster, Rotate This, Soundscapes, Horseshoe. 9pm.

2. There aren’t too many pop-punk bands that sound almost fully formed before wandering into the jaws of the music industry, but with their debut long-player, Emericans, Woodbridge’s Permanent Bastards could jump directly onto the top of a stage lineup at Warped Tour and nobody’d bat an eye. The four-piece outfit pound out catchy, powerful tunes backed by a muscular rhythm section, all the while bellowing anti-establishment anthems like “Faux Real!” with plenty of snotty authority. The band play two shows this week: tonight at Hart House, University of Toronto (7 Hart House Circle) and Friday (Nov. 20) at the Hard Luck Bar (812 Dundas W.).

3. Borrowing its name from StinkMitt member/DJ/new Torontonian Betti Forde’s longtime Vancouver club night, new Thursday-night weekly Stacked lives up to its title. Not only did Forde quickly come on board when DJ and dancer Lucie Tic began drafting a cast of rotating residents, so too did influential DJs Brandon Sek (CurbCrawlers), Mark Meny (Peer Pressure), Fawn Big Canoe (Tightknit) and Johnny Hockin (More Proof). It’s an eclectic, electric crew who, among them, are out to blend anything that’s good. Stacked launches tonight at returns every Thursday at Andy Poolhall (489 College).
