In the article “Name and shame” (Editorial Digest, May 8) you have made two factual errors that are admittedly commonly made.
First, you note that Council approved studying the idea of naming rights (something, I for the record have publicly opposed), when it was in fact the TTC Commission and not Council. Council only approves the subsidy to be given to the TTC or money for major expansion projects and has no jurisdiction over policy or even budget questions around TTC issues. This is because the TTC has been a separate entity since its creation in 1921.
Second, the annual operating budget of the TTC is not the noted “more than $700 million,” but rather $1.25 billion. You may have been thinking of the TTC’s Capital budget which is an additional $750 million. The total TTC budget not including expansion (subway or LRT construction) is $2 billion a year.

Robyn? Robyn!
What’s apparent about Ian MacIntyre from his letter “Holy crap, Batmyn” (May 8), other than the fact that he loves whining, is that he knows nothing about Robyn.
“The latest warmed-over commercial product”? Bitch, please. If he would have actually read the interview instead of crying over how much he hated seeing her videos on Tarzan Dan’s Hit List in 1998, he would have learned that she’s been doing her own thing since 2002, and has been working tirelessly to promote her critically acclaimed, self-released, self-titled album since 2005.
I, for one, was thrilled to see Robyn on the cover of EYE WEEKLY because I love her disc and want more people to hear it. Jason Anderson’s article was well-written and thoroughly researched and made me even more pumped for her show.

CORRECTIONS
Last week’s review of Terroni on Adelaide referred, incorrectly, to “the late Cosimo Mammoliti.” We are happy to report that Mammoliti is very much alive and well. EYE WEEKLY regrets the error and apologizes to the Mammoliti family for any confusion this error created.
And in last week’s Style Watch the wrong headline was used for designer Kendra Francis’ profile. The correct headline should have read: “Après-five style.” EYE WEEKLY regrets the error.
