Touching and difficult, this series of monologues written by famous writers and edited by Eve Ensler (Vagina Monologues) is full of sorrow, despair, loss and, thankfully, even a bit of hope. The show features 10 different pieces alternating with another set every other night that commemorate and commiserate with those from around the world who have suffered from various forms of violence. Despite some strong acting and perceptive writing, the show’s major drawback is its length, which unfortunately detracts from the works’ impact, as it’s just too much to digest. Highlights include performances by Alicia Payne, Alexandra Parravano and Thet Win.
