EYE WEEKLY Review:

This almost redeems high-concept Fringe gimmicks. Temporarily recasting St. Vlad’s as a dingy bingo hall, naff parish newsletter and all, its feckless flock attempts to raise money for their new church alongside players in the audience. The bickering “regulars” are what holds the conceptual game together. From ponytailed, pelican-obsessed Reverend Phil (whose total lack of social graces is only matched by his ability to misread the Bible) to the gawky Sunday school teacher with her puppets, their cluelessness is both funny and winning. The show drags often — hey, it is bingo — but manages to end with a cheerfully demented flourish (meth labs are involved).
