Liberty Village
A suburb in the city
Hemmed in by railway lines to the north and south, Liberty Village’s relative isolation has resulted in a prefabricated, suburb-in-the-city development that distinguishes it greatly from nearby boho ’hoods like Parkdale and West Queen West. World War II-era factory buildings sit next to modern condo towers, with strip-mall parking lots in lieu of pedestrian promenades.
