There are neither flashing lights nor an overbearing sign indicating its location, but you won’t be able to miss the sound of music coming from this year’s winner for best dance club, The Social. Priding itself on being “hot, dope and cheap,” as it says on the club’s website, there’s nothing but a good time to be had here. The wide variety of beats make it hard to resist getting down and social on the dancefloor. Get your groove on with music varying from dance and electro on Thursdays to ’90s house and hip-hop on Saturdays. If fist pumping and air guitar are more your bag, rock out with your cock out to ’70s and ’80s tunes on Rock Night Friday with the Gillespie Brothers. And for those requiring some downtime after a couple of tracks, don’t fret: there’s an array of eclectic couches with your name on them to give your feet a rest.
