Who: Manhunt
What: “Regressive hide and seek that’s totally gnarly,” according to their website (www.manhunt-toronto.com). “Manhunt is a hide-and-seek variant. The game starts out with one person, known as the manhunter, who is ‘it.’ After the manhunter has been selected, the fugitives have 120 seconds to hide. If a fugitive is tagged by a manhunter, she or he is brainwashed and forced to join the side of the manhunters. At the end of the designated time limit, all fugitives who have not been arrested are declared the winners.” Played by full-grown adult indie-types, in the public streets of Toronto.
When: Every Thursday night players meet at 9:30pm, the game starts at 10pm sharp.
Where: A different location every week, announced close to the last minute at www.manhunt-toronto.com. Past locations have included the PATH, Yorkville, Casa Loma and the Financial District.
Why: As founder Matt Collins once told us, “I just wanted to play a massive game of tag.”
How: Those interested in joining in can just check the website for the location and show up. To identify themselves as players, they should bring a visible armband. More information is available by emailing manhunt.toronto@gmail.com.

For parents and kids and all those who love them, the pre-kick-off of the Canadian Open tennis tournament features family-friendly activities including a scavenger hunt, tennis clinics, a magic show and an autograph session with an ATP Tour player.
