House Call

Designer home

BY Melinda Mattos   October 15, 2008 13:10

WHO: Adriana Fulop and Ryan Webber, both 33, co-owners and designers of Toronto-based clothing label Plastik Wrap (2235 Dundas W., 416-778-4967, www.plastikwrap.com); Lolla, 7, and her son Switch, 6, cats.

WHAT: Three-level, open-concept loft.

WHERE:
Dundas and Sterling, around the corner from the Nestle chocolate factory. (“Most of the time, the air smells like fresh brownies and we love it,” says Fulop.)

HOW LONG: Just over a year.

HOW MUCH: $1,250 per month.

FAVOURITE THINGS: “The 17-foot-high ceilings allow us to hang all the art we’ve accumulated through the years,” Fulop says, “although it’s hard to reach some of the places, since we only have a 10-foot ladder.” The loft’s raw, industrial aesthetic — with exposed brick, concrete floors and railway tracks nearby — meshes well with the designers’ personal style, and its three levels provide all the space they need. “Also, our two cats love all the stairs,” Fulop adds.
