Sales Manager
EYE WEEKLY, an urban lifestyle and entertainment weekly magazine has an
immediate need for a dynamic Sales Manager to lead and motivate a diverse group of sales professionals.
In this key role you will be responsible with the following:
• To provide leadership in the strategic planning for sales, business development and territory development;
• To plan and execute the recruitment, motivation and evaluation of the sales teams;
• To plan and develop goals and strategies for key accounts.
• Train and develop sales personnel to meet Department and Company short and
long-term needs and to motivate them to perform at a high level of achievement.
• Lead weekly/daily sales meetings to ensure two way line of communication.
• To contribute to the trustful and productive spirit of leadership team formed by managers of various functional areas.
Qualifications:
• A minimum of 5 years of proven over-achievement in a sales management position, preferably in print/online publishing industry.
• Well-equipped in the training and mentoring of new sales staff;
• Excellent analytical skills for interpreting numeric data and formulating long term goals and strategies;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skill (both verbal and written);
• Well-developed negotiation skill;
• A team leader who always carries an energetic and enthusiastic outlook;
• A knowledgeable user of technologies in relation to e-commerce, sales presentation and mobile sales tool;
• A post-secondary degree/diploma from a university or college.
• A working knowledge of Microsoft Offi ce applications

Graphic Design Intern

MARKETING & PROMOTIONS INTERN
Reports to: Marketing Manager

Overview: The Marketing / Promotions Interns will provide assistance in the implementation of annual marketing, publicity, advertising, event and promotion initiatives in order to meet the goals and objectives of Toronto's ultimate urban lifestyle and entertainment guide, EYE WEEKLY.
Core responsibilities:
• Provide administrative support to the marketing & promotions department including advertising, contesting, prizing, sponsorship and event based initiatives
• Assist with the brainstorming, planning, creation, production and distribution of marketing collateral and promotional tools for various initiatives
• Assist marketing team in developing creative briefs for seasonal campaigns and initiatives
• Mount signage and ensure successful promotion implementation at various field events and venues as necessary
• Traffic web creative
• Monitor media coverage and deadlines for the production of marketing materials e.g. advertisements, collateral, signage, swag etc.
• Managing contact lists for media, suppliers, stakeholders and sponsors
• Interact with internal departments to ensure accurate communication and collaboration on projects
• Planning, organizing and implementation of various grassroots projects
• Monitoring stat collection for contest and campaign performance evaluation
• Providing regular input and suggestions to sales, marketing and management based on street level communication and feedback
• Contacting stakeholders to promote specific contests, events, activities and initiatives
• Seed information regarding marketing initiatives to various on-line portals
• Write press releases, promotional, contest and ad copy
• Alert and direct contest winners for prize fulfillment
• Research potential sponsorship opportunities as requested by the Marketing Manager
• Monitor and maintaining promotional calendar and data log
Required Qualifications & Skills:
• Enrolled in a Marketing, Advertsing, Publicity or Event focussed post-secondary program
• Ability to both take direction and work independently
• A positive team player and efficient multi-tasker
• A flexible, quick learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong initiative and motivation
• Must be organized and resourceful
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Superior writing and editing skills - can write quickly, clearly and strategically for different audiences
