WHO: Anneli Ekborn, 29, indie film producer and manager of Canadian Film Centre’s film and TV productions.

WHAT: Open-concept loft.

WHERE: Near College and Dufferin.

HOW LONG: Almost one year.

HOW MUCH: About $1,200 a month.

FAVOURITE THINGS: “My space is rough around the edges and so am I,” says Ekborn, speaking with fondness about her loft’s worn walls and high ceilings.

Open-concept living agrees with the film producer, who notes, “I sleep, work, cook and entertain in one nice, manageable unit with tonnes of character.”

She loves the huge windows, which offer a colourful view of old houses to the south, with the CN Tower in the distance. Best of all, her address came with a built-in perk: one of her closest friends lives just down the hall.
