1. Aziz Ansari has just signed on with a director buddy (but
who cares about him) to develop three movies with Judd Apatow. Says Aziz (I
call him that since we’re in love and eat ice cream on the curb together) on
his blog: “Needless to say, we are very excited to be working with Judd on
these projects. Unfortunately, this does however put Jason and I’s plan to
remake Short Circuit 2 (with myself
playing the Michael McKean role in a revolutionary new makeup technique called ‘peachface’)
on hold indefinitely.”
2. A deer ran through the financial district today! All my young-adult-fiction
dreams are coming true! I hope he has a cool accent and is wise.
3. Umm this is great. I won’t ruin the surprise or anything
but if you were born between 1978 and 1984 and had a TV and went to public
school you will probably like this. (Hint: Jimmy Fallon.)
4. Maybe you read the profile on sex worker-turned-activist-turned-Osgoode student Wendy Babcock in the Star today and were wondering where you could find out
more about her? Oh look! I interviewed her a few months ago.
5. Scary and Awful #1: I do not approve of Pulp Fiction screenwriter Roger
Avary Twittering from prison because I’m not into drunk drivers using their
jail time to talk about totally awesome gangbangers on the
Internet. FUCKING SERIOUSLY.
6. Scary and Awful #2: “Twelve journalists were among 46
people murdered yesterday in the Philippines in what is thought to be the
greatest loss of life by news media in a single day. Several of the victims
were beheaded or mutilated in the massacre carried out by a huge force of
gunmen.” No more complaining about the cold I have, I don’t think.
